Darby
was established in 1854 trading under the name “Pennsylvania
Wire Works”.
We are one of the oldest wire cloth companies in the United States,
supplying woven wire cloth and welded wire mesh to various industries
for 150 continuous years.
Darby
maintains one of the most extensive
industrial inventories in the country. With wire
weaving and fabricating done on our premises, we can provide
timely answers to most inquiries.
Hours
of operation are 8:15 am to 4:40 pm EST and all calls during that
time are answered by a real person. We are happy to help you, so
please call, FAX or e-mail us with any questions
or concerns you have.

What
does the price and delivery quote include?
- All prices
are quoted in U.S. dollars and are subject to change.
- Stock availability
is subject to prior sales.
- Prices
quoted are FOB Darby’s warehouse facility or Darby’s
mill and do not include freight charges or any applicable taxes.
- International
quotations do not include freight, duties, taxes, or any other
applicable charges.
Can I
get samples?
- Darby will
provide samples for your approval at a cost of $10 per sample.
(UPS charges are additional).
- Standard
sample sizes are 4” x 4”
- If you
need larger pieces, please contact us for a quotation.
What
is your minimum order?
We have a $50.00 minimum for wire mesh items from our stock.
Do
you deliver?
Darby does not deliver. All shipments are FOB Darby’s warehouse
facility in Philadelphia, PA USA or Darby’s mill unless otherwise
agreed to in writing. Risk of loss expressly passes to buyer when
materials are loaded onto the freight carrier.
What
are your payment terms?
Darby’s standard payment terms are net 30 days to qualified
businesses after credit approval. To be considered for open account,
please submit a credit application listing three trade references
and one bank reference. For all others, terms are payment by check
in advance or C.O.D.
Darby also accepts major credit cards.
What
is your return policy?
Please be sure to inspect material before cutting or modifying.
If the quality is less than specified by current Industry Standards,
material may be returned to Darby only in original condition for
refund or replacement. The buyer must notify Darby within ten calendar
days after receipt of material detailing the nonconformity. Under
no circumstances shall material be returned without Darby’s
consent.
